10   Using Molecular Dynamics, we simulate the rapid heating and cooling experienced by bimetallic nanoparticles undergoing laser excitation at the plasmon resonance and find evidence that glassy particles can be formed during these experiments. The starting configurations were Ag-Cu solid solutions at the eutectic composition (60\% Ag, 40\% Cu). Since the particles are embedded in a implicit solvent approximating a solution phase and have a large surface-to-volume ratio, experimentally realizable cooling rates are accessible via simulations. Identification of glassy particles was verified using a variety of structural and dynamic techniques.
