\opening{Dear Professor Ladanyi:} |
22 |

25 |
Enclosed are two final copies of our manuscript titled ``{\bf On |
26 |
the structural and transport properties of the soft sticky dipole |
27 |
(SSD) and related single point water models}'' by Christopher |
28 |
J. Fennell and myself. In response to the reviewers comments we have |
29 |
made the following minor changes to the manuscript: |
30 |
\begin{itemize} |
31 |
\item We have added three paragraphs and a table which collects the |
32 |
liquid state properties of all the models studied. These properties |
33 |
include heat capacities, coordination number, hydrogen bond number, |
34 |
and orientational relaxation constants. Some supporting text |
35 |
concerning the orientational relaxation constants has also been added. |
36 |
\item We have also inserted equations to explain our calculation of |
37 |
coordination and hydrogen bond numbers as well as some text which |
38 |
analyzes the results of these calculations. |
39 |
\item In the plots with diffusion data, we have extended the range of |
40 |
the temperature scale to 370K. |
41 |
\item We have converted all of our color figures to black-and-white. |
42 |
\item We have shifted the zero point for our enthalpy calculations |
43 |
on the crystal structures to the commonly accepted zero-point value. |
44 |
\end{itemize} |
45 |
|
46 |
The page numbering has changed because we have double-spaced the |
47 |
manuscript, but most of these changes can be found on pages 15 \& 16 |
48 |
of the revised manuscript. None of these changes alter our |
49 |
interpretation of the data or our conclusions in any substantive way. |
50 |
|
51 |
We hope that the revised manuscript now meets the standards expected |
52 |
by the publisher. If you have any questions or comments, I can be |
53 |
reached via email at: gezelter@nd.edu, or by phone at (574) 631-7595. |
